The NEN 6702 is a Dutch safety standard for building structures, including guardrails used for fall protection. A key part of it is the sandbag pendulum test: a heavy sandbag is swung into the gate to simulate someone falling against it. The gate must absorb the impact and remain stable. Only then does it meet the standard.
